I’m the senior editor at Dwell Magazine and a freelance writer living in San Francisco. In addition to writing and lecturing on architecture and design for Dwell, dwell.com, and Print Magazine, I also write the men’s style column The Pocket Square for the San Francisco Chronicle. I’ve written on popular language for the New York Times as well as the Chronicle and Wired Magazine. I’ve also written for the travel magazines Afar and Outside’s GO, and for Newsweek. I have written for the History Channel and Animal Planet while working in television for JWM Productions outside Washington DC. I graduated from Amherst College in 2003 with a degree in English and grew up in Auburn, California.
